Honda Aircraft is bringing its HondaJet to the 2017 Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (ABACE) in Shanghai in April, marking the aircraft’s first static display in China.
“We have received strong interest from prospects in the Asia region, and showcasing the HondaJet at China’s premier business aviation event enables us to further strengthen interest in the China and Asian market,” said Honda Aircraft president and CEO Michimasa Fujino.
Honda Aircraft introduced the aircraft to the Asian market through a world tour, staged in spring of 2015, that involved several stops in Japan. The tour was not intended as a sales mission, but instead to promote the use of business aviation in the region and to debut the new aircraft to the market, Fujino said at the time.
Honda Aircraft has been slowly expanding its global sales reach through a dealer network, as market demand grows for the aircraft. It currently sells the HondaJet in North America, South America and Europe through dealers in those regions. The twinjet has received certification from civil aviation authorities in the U.S., Europe and Mexico.
