Jetstar unveils first Q300 for NZ operations

Jetstar Airways has completed the repainting of the first of five Bombardier Dash-8 Q300s that will be used to launch regional services in New Zealand later this year.
 
The aircraft, Dash 8-315 (c/n 603) VH-TQM, was repainted from QantasLink colours to Jetstar’s livery in Townsville. The airline adds that the five tubroprops will also undergo a cabin refurbishment before it enters service in December.

The aircraft will be operated by QantasLink carrier Eastern Australia Airlines on Jetstar’s behalf.

Jetstar has not yet revealed the routes that the five turboprops will operate on, but says it is considering Hamilton, Rotorua, Tauranga, Napier, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Nelson and Invercargill.
