Well I finally made it up to LAX yesterday in the early evening before taking in the latest "Terminator" movie at the nearby Archlight theater with my wife Judy.
Spent just about 1 hour there, spoke with some old LAX friends (known for 20 years) and got a few great photos, it was wonderful that the famous "Marine Layer" did not materialize last evening and equally awesome to talk airliners with old friends.
Photographed and spotted my first Philippine Airlines 777-300(ER) and snagged the newest British Airways A380-841. I also shot my first Delta Air Lines MD-95-30 (717-200) late of AirTran / Southwest Airlines.

Philippine Airlines Boeing 777-3F6(ER) (35556/1056) RP-C7774 on short final to Rwy 24L.
Delta Air Lines McDonnell Douglas MD-95-30 (Boeing 717-200) (55044/5134) N892AT over the old LAX tower. I shot this aircraft at Long Beach Airport (LGB/KLGB) prior to her first flight on July 27, 2004.
Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319-114 (c/n 634) C-FYIY makes an early evening arrival.
British Airways latest Airbus A380-841 (c/n 173) G-XLEI delivered to the carrier on February 13, 2015 is captured on short final to Rwy 24L.
Soon to be a rare sight at airports around the world, Virgin Atlantic Airways Airbus A340-642 (c/n 787) G-VWEB "Surfer Girl" caught on short final to Rwy 24L. Interesting that the c/n number of this aircraft is the name of the aircraft replacing her type in the carriers fleet.
WestJet Boeing 737-8CT (38880/4268) C-GAWS arrives sporting special markings "#100th Boeing 737NG" which commemorates the carriers 100th 737NG addition to its fleet.
Air New Zealand Boeing 777-319(ER) (38406/911) ZK-OKN arrives from London-Heathrow (LHR/EGLL) as "ANZ1."
An old stand-by at LAX, China Airlines Cargo Boeing 747-409F/SCD (30766/1294) B-18709 arrives from Ted Stevens International Airport - Anchorage (ANC/PANC), Alaska.
