Gulfstream says its has "delivered more than 50 G280s since the aircraft entered service in November 2012”.
“It has proven to be popular with owners around the world," the company says, adding that it is now certificated in a dozen countries including the USA, China, Mexico and across Europe and South America.
“This aircraft is particularly well suited for Brazil,” says Gulfstream president Larry Flynn. "Departing from São Paulo, the G280 can reach the entire continent without refuelling and can fly to Europe with one stop,” he explains.
The Honeywell HTF7250G-powered G280 has a range of 3,600nm (6,670km) at Mach 0.80 with four passengers.
Demand for Gulfstream's midsize family – which also includes the smaller G150 – is on the increase. In 2014, the General Dynamics-owned company delivered 33 models, ten more than the previous year, and plans to ramp up midsize jet production by a third in 2015.
