Bliss Jet To Launch Per-seat NY-London Service in 2017

Bliss Jet plans to start transatlantic service on shared private jets from New York La Guardia Airport to London Stansted Airport in January. Feedback from customers led the company to operate at La Guardia's “uncongested” Marine Air Terminal, according to Bliss Jet CEO David Rimmer.

The company’s shared private jets will offer pre-screened U.S. and UK travelers “higher levels” of personal service, comfort and security than traditional first or business class on the airlines, he said. Seats on the 10- to 14-passenger charters are $11,995 each way.

Bliss Jet flights will use late-model aircraft such as Gulfstream G450s and G550s operated by charter firms audited by Wyvern Wingman, Argus Platinum and IS-BAO, Rimmer noted. Flights departing from New York on Sunday nights will arrive at London Stansted in time for a full business day on Monday. Return flights depart from London on Friday afternoons so travelers can arrive back in the U.S. in time for dinner.

Passengers will be able to choose custom meals, as well as have several entertainment options and worldwide Wi-Fi while on board. Bliss Concierge services will also arrange ground or helicopter transportation at its gateway cities, in addition to private charters for passengers flying onward to other destinations.
