I totally lucked out this morning as Alaska Airlines new "Portland Timbers" theme plane passed through John Wayne Orange County Airport (SNA/KSNA). It had been a cloudy morning but when she pushed for departure I got a cloud break and brilliant sun peeked through the clouds. The airplane has been through Orange County once already as it arrived on Friday night May 6 overnighted then departed early Saturday morning May 7, but the sun was nowhere to be found. She came back Saturday afternoon but again the sun was on holiday. I feel very fortunate to have photographed her so early while the livery was still in pristine condition.
Holds on "Alpha" waiting to taxi.
Taxiies to Rwy 19R for departure to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA/KSEA) as"ASA501" getting airborne at 1025 PST.
