Lufthansa has announced plans to hire 1,650 new employees in 2015, who will work at several points in Germany. Of those, 800 will become flight attendants based in Munich and Frankfurt, Lufthansa’s two major hubs. Some flight attendants will be working for Lufthansa Group’s new pan-European low-cost carrier (LCC) Eurowings.
In September, the Group ordered 10 Airbus A320ceos for Eurowings, which is being repositioned as an LCC and should be based at airports outside Germany, such as Vienna.
An additional 400 new staff members will be used for its Lufthansa Technik subsidiary and will be based at several airports in Germany.
