AirAsia receives first Tianjin A320neo

Malaysian low-cost carrier AirAsia has taken delivery of the first Airbus A320neo to be assembled on the airframer's Tianjin line in China.

The aircraft is powered by CFM International Leap-1A engines and has 186 seats, says Airbus.

According to Flight Fleets Analyzer, the first Tianjin-built A320neo is MSN 7803, registered 9M-AGK. Delivery of the aircraft follows its first flight on 11 October.

AirAsia operates 80 A320-family aircraft, including eight A320neos delivered from Airbus's European assembly lines. Its first A320neo was received in September last year. The airline holds firm orders for three A320ceos, 289 A320neos and 100 A321neos.
