Silk Way Airlines to add 747-8F to fleet

Azerbaijan, Baku-based cargo carrier Silk Way Airlines has ordered two Boeing 747-8 freighters valued at $704 million at current list prices. The order is part of Silk Way’s fleet expansion plans as it “continues to increase its regional and international footprint,” Silk Way president Zaur Akhundov said.

The Central Asian carrier has a fleet of 747-400 and 767-300 freighters that serve Europe, the UK and the Middle East, as well as the Far East including Korea, China and Hong Kong.
