Westjet to commence Orange County service May 2, 2011

The Orange County Board of Supervisors this week approved a Passenger Airline Lease with WestJet - the pioneer of low-cost flying in Canada - that allows the airline to establish daily non-stop service from John Wayne Airport (JWA) to Vancouver, British Columbia beginning May 2, 2011 and to Calgary, Alberta June 13, 2011. "We are thrilled to welcome WestJet to John Wayne Airport," said Airport Director Alan L. Murphy.

"WestJet's flights to Vancouver and Calgary, along with their top-notch customer service, will be warmly received here in Orange County." Celebrating 15 years in business, WestJet offers scheduled service throughout its 71-city North American and Caribbean network.

WestJet operates a fleet of 92 Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft offering increased legroom, leather seats and live seatback television. Passengers traveling south from Canada to the United Sates will be able to take advantage of the customs preclearance system in Canada. "With this final agreement signed and dated, we are excited to include Orange County into our network of destinations," said Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Planning. "We are ready to welcome new guests and introduce them to WestJet's award-winning guest experience."

WestJet flight schedules are as follows:

Beginning May 2, 2011 Depart Orange County (SNA) at 2:15 p.m. Arrive Vancouver (YVR) at 5:05 p.m.

Beginning June 13, 2011 Depart SNA at 12:30 p.m. Arrive Calgary (YYC) at 4:35 p.m.
