CIT Aerospace orders 38 Boeing 737NG aircraft

CIT Aerospace has placed an order for 38 Next-Generation 737 aircraft, including 15 737-900ERs and 23 737-800s, marking the largest order by the lessor with the manufacturer. It is also the largest lessor order for the newest member of Next Generation family.

The order, which will be delivered through 2017, includes purchase rights for seven additional 737s.

Separately, the lessor requested US Export-Import financing for Boeing aircraft at a meeting that was held yesterday at the bank's headquarters.
