jetBlue cuts Ontario Airport (ONT) service

The once bright future of jetBlues Ontario Airport (ONT) operations has been quashed as the carrier announced on July 23 that the station would be closed in September after Labor Day. The carriers recently announced 2nd quarter earnings results totaling losses of $7 million dollars was a blow to the carrier and drove excutives to make the announcement that they would be putting a "flat-growth" plan into immediate effect with no further plans to expand or eliminate service except for the daily flight between Ontario Airport (ONT) and John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK).
